Interested in Writing for Cinema Femme?

Cinema Femme Magazine is the voice of the female film experience. The heart of our magazine is the female writers who share their talent and passion about film through personal essays. What you’ll be apart of is a movement that goes beyond our digital pages.

Every issue focuses on one film and includes personal essays about that film, accompanied by illustration and design.

Currently we're accepting personal essay submissions for issue 3, Strong Island issue, launching digitally in February. The deadline is February 12, 2019.

We do pay our writers that are featured in our digital magazine. At Cinema Femme we feel it's important our writers get paid so they understand we value them as the heart beat of our publication.

Personal Essay Guidelines:

Style Guide and 2019 Deadline Calendar The essay must focus on an aspect of the issue's film that speaks to the female writer. The personal essay is meant to be a thoughtful analysis of what makes the film personal to the writer, not only as a woman, but as an individual. Not every submission will get in to the digital issue, but every piece will be considered to be featured on the website.

Submissions and inquiries can be sent to cinemafemme@cinemafemme.com.
